Ship Navigation Simulation

Uniquely amongst India based international consultants, BMTCI provide ship navigation simulation services utilising the internationaly known, industry standard ship simulation system, PC REMBRANDT.  BMT has a vast library of hi-fidelity real ship models.  The service can be used for greenfield port planning and port expansion, application of COLREGS, tug assessment, incident investigation as well as ship handling training.  A cost effective India based service backed up by BMT's UK Offices is provided.

Traffic Forecasting

Accurate traffic forecasting lies at the heart of any port investment. Examining the likely port traffic using simulation models as well as from first principles - Competition analysis and sensitivity analysis

Design of Port Facilities

We have experience in the design of a wide variety of port facilities including container terminals, liquid terminals, bulk terminals, general cargo as well as LNG terminals. In addition, we can carry out the overall design of the utilities, drainage, wharf furniture and safety features.

Mooring Analysis

A full mooring analysis service utilising the industry standard OPTIMOOR system can be provided.

Breakwater Modelling

We provide a numerical breakwater modelling service using BREAKWAT software developed by Delft Hydraulics which enables clients to optimise breakwater design and costs at the design stage.

Ship Design

BMT is one of the world's leading companies in the design of specialist ships. BMT Consultants India Pvt. Ltd, through its sister companies can provide services of basic design, design to class approval, detailed design of vessels. Types of vessels include civilian as well as defence ships. BMT have experience of passenger ferries, OSVs, pipe laying ships, yatchs, etc. On the defence side, BMT have experience of submarines, destroyers, aircraft carriers as well as specialist ships.

Every marine project impacts the environment and BMT has specific expertise in:

Materials Handling

BMT has decades of experience in bulk materials handling including coal, metal ores and others. BMT Consultants India offers advisory services in materials handling by bringing to bear the expertise gained in other parts of the world. In particular, BMT has significant experience in large scale bulk handling including design of plant such as conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, silos, storage areas, etc.

Project Management

BMT Consultants India can assist clients by provision of project management services at the construction stage of projects. This involves assistance with choice of contractors, construction methodology, site supervision, programming and planning, contract management, quality control and safety. It is also possible to provide a project management service through the life of the project from concept to commissioning.
